Art and travel are about sharing and there is no better place in the world to experience this than on May 3, 2013 at the Art World Expoin Vancouver, B.C. at the TELUS World of Science.

With over 100 artists showcasing a diverse range of genres, it is fast becoming the red-carpet art event to attend not only in BritishColumbia, but the world. So much so, that international artists are compelled to travel thousands of miles to feature their artistic creations; not mention the countries that will be represented by the multitude of guests.

This years A.W.E welcomes artists from the Korea, US, Israel, Iran, Georgia, Milan, Poland, Philippines and South Africa.

1. Matt Huntley – Oregon

2. Beqa Abuladze – Georgia, Europe

3. Lotusland Imports – Milan & South Africa-International Fair trade jewelry production

4. Rafaella Rabinovich – Israel

5. Nirousha Ronassi “NRonassi Designs” – Iran

6. Nathan Brend – Washington

Polish coordinator Monika Blichar, herself a highly accomplished artist, has a vision for the world.

“Art World Expo is about sharing creativity, networking, raising awareness of the arts in not only our community, but abroad. A result of A.W.E was the development of the ‘Make or Break Arts Foundation’. Through this, I am creating a foundation for arts to thrive into mainstream culture. I offer assistance for community projects, workshops, events, education and programming”, explains Blichar.

A visionary, Blichar sees a global initiative where artists have the opportunity to showcase their work internationally and be inspired in a new city every year.

Next year’s event is in the planning stages and Blichar hopes A.W.E will take Venice, Italy by storm.

Blichar is, ‘receptive to working with any country. It is an important endeavor that has the potential to support artists around the globe.’
