Nothing’s been happening in Carrazeda (what a surprise) so I’m writing about Peruvian beer-drinking habits instead.
1. Only one glass should be used at any one time.
Everyone sits in a circle. The beer glass is filled, drunk from and then passed along to the person next to you, so that only one person is ever drinking at any one time. You should never nurse your drink or sip it daintily and it is rude to be so immersed in a conversation that you forget you’re holding it. You must always pay more attention to the drink itself than to the people you are drinking with.
2. The beer bottle must stay one person ahead of the glass.
